The holidays are just around the corner. The coronavirus is slowly subsiding, so you can start planning your destinations and places to visit.
Recently, flights with low-cost airlines to various destinations around the world have been extremely popular due to their low prices and availability.
How will the way we travel and vacation change after the epidemic? Similar hypotheses are coming from many sides: a lot will change.
Why?
The limited space on planes, trains, buses, and ships makes it difficult to maintain the distance that has been so strictly observed in recent weeks.
– We will be less willing to stay in hotels where there may be a lack of adequate disinfection.
– Traveling to countries where the virus was rampant not so long ago and the statistics were frightening, such as Italy, may not be popular, and low prices for flights or train tickets, for example, will not necessarily change this.
So how should we spend our holidays, taking the above into account?
We bet that caravanning and camping will be the hit of this year's holidays in Poland.
Caravanning is traveling in camping vehicles, which are caravans and motorhomes.
Camping involves staying in tents, cabins, and similar types of campsites.
What are the advantages of this type of vacation?
- Your own bed/sleeping bag and tent seem safer and more hygienic.
- Traveling by motorhome allows you to prepare your own meals without having to use restaurants, which, like hotels, cannot necessarily guarantee hygiene and safety.
- At campsites, we are not forced to be among crowds of people. We do not have to touch metal door handles or taps, and thus expose ourselves to the risk of infection.
- Motorhomes and tents are suitable for wild camping in secluded places, while at the same time allowing us to spend our time doing what we love: sunbathing, swimming, fishing, cycling, or hiking.
- You can be sure who disinfected the interior of the tent or camper and when, because you usually do it yourself and you can be sure that it is done properly.
- The crisis has caused many Poles to lose or drastically reduce their income. Many people will be looking for cheaper alternatives to hotels and apartments. A tent or renting a summer cottage is a safe and inexpensive solution when funds are limited.
All right. The decision has been made. We're going camping.
How to prepare for it? What to take with you?
As always, we advise you to make a list of essential items. The absolute must-haves are definitely:
- A tent.
- Sleeping bag
- Camping stove
- Matches or a lighter
- Camping dishes and cutlery
- First aid kit containing, among other things, mosquito and tick repellents
- Flashlight
- Pocket knife
- Power bank
- Warm clothing
- Toilet paper
Most of these items (except maybe toilet paper 🙂 ) can be found in our favorite store: https://ifajnysklep.pl/c/114/sport-i-turystyka.html
Okay. We already know what we're going to do during the holidays, where we're going, where we're going to stay, and what to take with us.
So, what should we pack it all in?
A lot depends on the means of transport. If you have your own car or camper van, there's no need to limit yourself and you can pack suitcases. However, if you have less space available and are traveling by public transport, a good old backpack will always do the trick.
Additionally, it is worth having a round-bottomed travel bag with you. It will also come in handy after the holidays – for cycling, shopping, yoga, or school. It is very roomy and durable. You can carry it like a backpack or attach the straps and sling it over your shoulder. It is a classic, timeless model.
What other uses can such a bag have? It will be the perfect pillow for those who cannot fall asleep without one. It can also be used as a pillow for reading a book or browsing your phone.
A bag with a round bottom is perfect as hand luggage on a plane. It is strong, indestructible, and can be folded, twisted, and crushed. You can easily place it under your seat on the plane or put it in the overhead compartment above your seat.

Regardless of what you pack and what form of travel and leisure you choose this year, remember to make the most of this time. Regenerate, do what you love, not what you have to do, and enjoy the long-awaited freedom of the outdoors after a period of isolation.
Have a nice trip and enjoy your vacation!
